CHURCH OF MÂN CÔI PARISH

Phase 1 - Land Reclamation and Embankment Construction

  • Mân Côi Parish is a small mission parish belonging to the Hà Tĩnh Diocese, currently consisting of approximately 42 Catholic households. The parish community faces many economic hardships, with most parishioners relying on forestry planting and manual labor for their livelihood.

    For many years, the community has continued to nurture and live out their faith in a modest temporary chapel. However, over time, the structure has severely deteriorated and is no longer safe or suitable for pastoral activities and liturgical celebrations.

    With the hope of building a proper church for both the present and future generations, the parish is now taking the first steps in preparing and securing the land for the future church construction.

  • This project aims to:

    • Reclaim and stabilize the church grounds

    • Construct protective embankments to retain and secure the land

    • Prepare the foundation for the future church building

    This is an important first step toward establishing a permanent and stable place of worship for the local Catholic community.

  • Planned Works:

    • Construction of a 1.8-meter-high embankment extending approximately 300 meters

    • Hiring excavators, transport trucks, and land-leveling equipment

    • Filling and leveling approximately 4,000 cubic meters of soil

  • Estimated Total Cost:

    Approximately 380,000,000 VND

    For a small and financially struggling community like Mân Côi Parish, this amount is far beyond the current means of the local parishioners.
