NGUYEN BINH KHUE

Khue was born with a congenital heart defect. When her family was no longer able to care for her, she was left at the gates of the local orphanage. In the early hours of the morning, the Sisters were on their way to mass and stumbled upon baby Khue and took her in with open arms. SOF came across Khue on our 2013 dental mission and we were able to provide financial aid to assist in getting the surgery that Khue required. From 2013-2017 SOF was able to provide $11,500 in support until Khu made a full recovery.

NGUYEN DIA THIEN PHU, MAI THI KIM TUYEN & NGUYEN THI BACH MAI

On our 2013 dental mission we met these three young women who had been adopted by an orphanage at a very early age. The three young women expressed an interest in receiving an education and working within the hospitality industry, and so when they turned 18 and left the orphanage as required, SOF was proud to sponsor their living and tuition expenses for four years at a cost of nearly $6,000.  The women have since secured full time employment in the hospitality industry and are fully self-sufficient.
